I’m back from my hop accross the pond. Training went well, but it was tiring to do that while jet-lagged. I took a few pictures and I’ll let you know when I post them.
It was really nice to get off the airplane in Newark – for at least 10 minutes. The air was cool and humid: which is exactly what one needs after getting of the airplane’s ultra-dry air supply. Immigration was a snap. Then came customs. Yuck. If any airport does it worse than Newark, I have yet to see it. It took me over an hour to get my bag, run through the customs line [actually that little part took all of 30 seconds] and then re-check the bag for home. What a pain – AND I had to leave the secured area to do it.
Once I got to my terminal, I found a President’s Club room to sit down and do some work in – which of coruse was under construction and overcrowded due to some flight delays. At least I got a chair!
